Museum Victoria - New South Wales Rugby League team, first to come north, 1910Herbert Henry (Dally) Messenger was the captain of the first New South Wales Rugby League team to come north. He is in the front row (third from left). Other players were Pearce, Craig, Cann, Farnsworth, Halloway, McKivat (front row third from right) and McCabe. They won three games. Dally Messenger was a star Rugby Union player who defected to Rugby League in 1907.
